On the opening night of New York Fashion Week, Naomi Campbell hosted a fundraising fashion event. Celebrities parading on the catwalk included Chris Brown, Kelly Osbourne, and Estelle. Rachel Zoe was the stylist for the event and all clothing was donated from designers including Carolina Herrera, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana and Ralph Lauren.
Madonna’s facialist Michelle Peck, and her daughter Tarin, performed Intraceuticals Rejuvenate Infusions on many famous faces behind the scenes. Those backstage included Naomi Campbell herself, Chris Brown, Pat Cleveland, Diane Von Furstenburg, Margherita and Helena Christensen.
“Naomi's show raised more than $US100,000 in ticket sales, with the full amount raised expected to reach more than $US1 million following additional donations and the sale of the pieces at Net-a-Porter.” source: www.popsugar.com.au
All the proceeds went to CARE’s efforts in Haiti, and to further the effort all gowns will be auctioned off from March 15th. To grab your piece of fashion history visit www.net-a-porter.com
The fashion show was also a tribute to the life of Alexander McQueen - A veiled Daphne Guinness in catsuit in heelless shoes came first, followed by Heidi Mount, Sasha Pivovarova, Natasha Poly, Karen Elson, Angela Lindvall, Helena Christensen, and Naomi, all in Alexander McQueen (main image).
