LOS ANGELES) It was every big and little girl’s fantasy: a huge white tent strewn with pink Chinese lanterns and cherry blossoms, filled with jewelry, cookies, and Hollywood’s best beauty experts doing free blow-outs, hair extensions, facials, and makeovers. Not to mention that it was at Quincy Jones’ Bel-Air estate.
Kidada’s Princess Parlor was an all-day affair hosted by Kidada Jones to present her Kidada for Disney couture collection of jewelry, intimates, apparel, and home accessories, available at Fred Segal in Los Angeles and at upscale store Vault 28 at Disneyland in Anaheim. “We chose Kidada to design Disney couture because she’s a Hollywood tastemaker,” said Kevin Korney, vice president of Disney consumer products. “She’s got a great personal sense of style.”
Kidada, clad in a Juicy Couture dress, a pink sweater, and little gold flats—her self-described “princess outfit”—indulged in all the treatments herself. “This is my actual hair length,” she said of her long, wavy auburn locks, “but I got some extensions for volume, and am gonna work these babies into the summer—they’re my new hot summer accessory!” She also opted for an oxygen plumping facial from Madonna’s facialist, Michelle Peck. “She is simply the best,” she declared. “I’m going out tonight because my face is going to look too good not to.”
